My experience blogging and self-evaluation in my journalism class.

Starting this blog & learning about blogging, in general, has really been an eye-opener to me on this side of the media. Digging into other blogs, I see how creative people can get and the work that goes into it.

On my personal blog, I had a great time writing & expressing myself. I enjoyed the topic I have chosen because Netflix is something I incorporate in my daily routine. I enjoyed getting to know the top TV series, on a new level

I have figured out that I use Netflix to escape from reality, and this blog made me dig into the actuality of the show. This was interesting but I also felt like it ruined some of the shows for me.

I will for sure continue to blog, but I will change the direction of my beat to focus more on reviewing the shows by their seasons. This will allow me to dive into the shows more & talk about what actually happens in them.

“Blogs are whatever we make them. Defining ‘Blog’ is a fool’s errand.” - Michael Conniff

Blogging to me is a great way to tell stories if one is descriptive and a great writer. For me, I need more practice in descriptive writing.

Before I took this class, I wish I learned more about how other blogs did to be successful. When I first started, I was just confused cause I hadn’t had much experience with blogging. Now as I reach the end of this course & I’ve been able to look at successful blogs, I am able to see more of what it’s gonna take for me to have a successful blog

Overall, I learned a lot from this course, but I also feel like I have so much to learn and create on my own.
