Welcome to my blog! I just recently started a blogging class at the University of Northern Colorado for my media studies minor. One of the purposes of this blog is to personally express myself in an educational format. This is a canvas for me to learn how to blog and to practice journalistic writing! It also is meant for entertainment and will be very informational!

In my blog I will be reviewing popular TV shows on the streaming service, Netflix. Every week I will choose a TV show and review it with three different blog post. The three topics I will review are Summaries & Production Information, Critiquing the Script, and Evaluating the Acting! Each topic will have it's own post for every TV show. This way I can provide my readers with everything they need!
My experience in journalism is very small. I am a media studies minor, but it doesn't involve a lot of journalistic features. I have learned all about how journalism in previous classes, but I have yet to be able to take it to the next level and actually blog! The reason I chose this beat to cover is because I am a Netflix fanatic! When people ask me what my hobby is, I always respond with Netflix. I will binge watch TV shows until one of my friends forces me to go out and socialize! Even though I do watch a lot of shows on Netflix, I've never done any digging on the work that was put into these shows. With this said, I hope to learn more about them and to put my own opinion and twist on them!
Since I don't have any journalism experience I can only evaluate myself as a writer. My strength could be how I am very dramatic while writing which can make it fun for the reader. My weakness is that I have always been bad at grammar and spelling, which I continuously try and work on everyday. I am a little worried about starting a blog because I'm uncertain of everything that needs to go into it, or if I'm even doing it correctly. I hope I can receive lots of feedback and comments so I can progress! I am confident that I have chosen a great topic to discuss and people can relate to it in their own way! I am very excited to learn the ways of a blogger and to spread knowledge about the best TV shows on Netflix!
