Ingredients

for 1 serving

• 2 tablespoons hot water

• 2 tablespoons sugar

• 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder

• milk, to serve

• ice, to serve

Instructions

(1) Add the hot water, sugar, and instant coffee to a bowl.

(2) Either hand whisk or use an electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy and light.

(3) To serve, spoon a dollop over a cup of milk with ice in it and stir.

(4) Then Enjoy.

Vampire Diaries Plot, Main Characters & Production History

Vampire Diaries is a fantasy, horror, drama that had 171 episodes and 8 seasons. This TV series went on from 2009-2017 and was produced by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. This series was originated from a book series by L. J. Smith. The plot in this TV series is about a small town named Mystic Falls in Virginia, where vampires and other mystic creatures lurk in the dark, and stir trouble with the humans. Throughout the show there are epic love stories and conflict with many supernatural creatures. This show will always keep you on your toes with love, fear and mystery.

In the beginning of this TV show, the main characters were Elena, who was the doppelganger of the vampire brothers, Stephan and Damen's past love. A doppelganger is someone who looks identical to someone else and is pasted down from that blood line. Yes, you read that correctly, both brothers fell in love with one vampire girl named Kathrine in 1864. I don't want to spoil too much, but the past has a way of sneaking up again. This show is filled with action packed scenes and a lot of drama.

"It's Okay. We Met, And We Talked, And It Was Epic, But .. Then The Sun Came Up And Reality Set In." - Elena Gilbert

Elena Gilbert is played by actress Nina Dobrev who is a teenage girl still in high school, and had just recently lost her parents in a tragic wreck. She eventually falls in love Stephan Salvatore, and later on in the show, she falls in love with Damen Salvatore, creating an interesting love triangle. Stephan and Damon were turned into vampires when they were in their teens in 1864, by Elena's evil doppelganger, Kathrine Pierce. These three characters are very important for creating the story line for the first few season of the show.

As the show progressed, more character were added and more story lines were created. The characters that are the secondary characters that are still important in the story line are Jeremy Gilbert, Bonnie Bennett, Caroline Forbes, Matt Donovan, Alaric Saltzman, and Klaus Mikaelson. All these characters take on a huge role for the show. Jeremy Gilbert is Elena Gilbert's trouble maker brother who she will protect no matter what. Bonnie, Caroline, and Matt are Elena's best friends throughout the whole series. Klaus is the Original Vampire, who his siblings and him eventually breaks off into their own series, which I will discuss in my other post. Alaric is a vampire hunter that eventually becomes a fatherly figure to Elena.

There are so many more fantastic characters that pop up during this show, it's practically impossible to name them all. Throughout this show, each character is forced to deal with their inner demons and literal supernatural demons. This show has made me laugh and cry many times. Vampire Diaries is a great show to start watching if you enjoy teenage drama and horror. But don't let that scare you away, It also includes loads of comedy and real life problems that are incredibly relatable. If you are looking for a show to binge watch, this might be the one for you.
